We Curlsistas know that one of the main issues with shampooing is maintaing your hair's moisture afterwards. One way I combat this is with a honey pre-poo! From the first time I tried it (about 4 years ago) it's worked like a charm each time! I'm obsessed. Honey's a humectant, meaning that it draws moisture to your hair from the air. Exactly what you want before a wash- let you hair soak up as much moisture as possible! After you wash you hair it will feel soft, moisturized and easy to manage. Here's what you'll need to get started:
2 Tablespoons of honey
spray bottle of water
1. Start on detangled hair. Spray it with enough water BUT don't drench it.
2. Apply honey from the roots to the ends. (If you're using raw honey (which is usually in solid form) mix it with some water first to loosen it up).
3. Cover your hair with a plastic cap for 30mins (or longer if you'd like!).
4. Rinse out with water (your hair will feel AWESOME!) and then shampoo as usual!
Have fun with this and let me know how you like it!
