Name/ Kivvi Roberts
Background/ Born and raised in Kentucky; I've lived in Miami.
Where do you live? And now in Brooklyn.
What do you do? Assistant Manager for a French clothing brand and in my spare time a photographer/art director.
How long have you been a natural gal? Just a little under 4 years now.
What do you love about being natural? The versatility of it. From all the curly styles you can do, to the straight hair styles, to twists. There's just so many more options to choose from in terms of styling. And the fact that I know my hair and scalp I appreciate not getting relaxers anymore.
What's your hair regimen? I'm quite lazy when it comes to my hair. I wash once a week and use a protein packet every time. I use my Giovanni leave in conditioner, put my mixture of oils in and then my curl pudding. I try and two strand twist my hair into a bantu knot every night, but sometimes it just doesn't work out to me having that kind of time before I'm ready to pass out. In that case I just put my satin scarf around my hair and just have the curls hang loose. I don't really co-wash, I just may spray a little water on my curls and apply some more oils as my hair soaks it up quickly. I like having fun with styling my hair as I get bored doing the same style over and over again. If I have time I'll do some sort of braid or twist style. If I need to leave within the next five minutes, my go-to style is the fro hawk. It literally only takes me five minutes to do at this point, I've done it so much.

How do you describe your fashion style? Simple chic
Do you have a fave designer? It varies depending on the collection and even then I can't pick out my favorite.
Fave things to do on the weekend? I love to roam the city and see what areas I come across. Taking photos, going to brunch, going to church, meeting up with friends, working on projects, checking out local events. Or just simply staying in and having a movie marathon.
Fave travel destinations? Now, it's Italy. Hoping to add some more to that list.
What do you wish for? To travel the world and meet interesting people, eat amazing local cuisine, take photos and video and just be able to blog about it.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Any time I try to make a grand plan like that, it never ends up going the route I thought it would take to get me there. To a certain degree that is out of my hands. So these days I like to live in the present in hopes that the decisions I make now will properly set me up for the future. Keeping in mind that the route may change, but that the destination will still be the same. All that to say that I'm following God's 5 year plan for me not my own, even though I don't even know what His plan for my life is tomorrow.
What's some words of wisdom that you live by? Let Him lead the way.
What makes you smile? Genuine interactions with other people.
Random fact: I sketch sometimes and my favorite part is the shading. That's where you get the most depth.
