.Meet Cynthia.

Name/ Cynthia A.

Background/ Born in Maryland, raised in Cameroon

Where do you live? I live in NYC

What do you do? Attorney by day, blogger by night.

How long have you been a natural gal? It's been about 4 years I think, but I never really counted.

What do you love about being natural? I love it's versatility. I know it suits me more than anything else I did before.  I also enjoy the camaraderie and community of beautiful women who have found peace with their hair.

What's your hair regimen? This is my ideal regimen but as we all know, life happens and sometimes I take short cuts. But when I'm on my best behavior, it includes, a wash/co-wash once a week, followed by a good conditioner.  A treatment every other month (I know I can do better) and I usually start my hair out in twists, from there we get twist- outs, and afros or buns. It depends on my mood and where I have to be that week.

Top 5 fave hair products?
How do you describe your fashion style? Laidback chic

What are your fave stores to shop? Zara and Zara,.... just kidding. I do shop at Zara a lot, but other faves include H&M, Club Monaco. For accessories, I like Etsy/Ebay and flea markets.

Do you have a fave designer? Nope. I like too many to pick just one. My focus lately has been on up and coming designers especially those with a global edge. Check out Reuben Reuel.

One item you can't leave home without? Burts bees lip balm - so addicted, so necessary.

Fave things to do on the weekend? Road trips, music or food festivals, sleeping in.

Fave travel destinations? This is hard. Paris & Montreal - must be my Francophile upbringing.

What do you wish for? Staying open to new experiences/people and of course happiness.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I have never figured out how to answer this question. I'm more of a one day at a time person. It's not that I don't think about the future, cos I do.

What's some words of wisdom that you live by? You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.

What makes you smile? Kindness

Random fact: I'm always cooking up some kind of curry. Indian Curry, Thai Curry, Jamaican Curry. I'm all curried out.
