/Editor’s Note/ Ever thought of taking the leap and going natural– but didn’t know what to expect? Our Big Chop Contributor (aka Big Chop Diva), Shaz Taylor who recently went natural, shares her #bigchop experience with you, freely and openly each Wednesday. Here’s what she had to say this week.xo.Joy Put your robe on, girl. This week, I am all about pampering my new curls and myself. With all of the excitement and hard work surrounding the launch of CurlSistas (Yay!) I want to recharge with a much needed 'treat yo self' type of day. I am researching a lot of ways that women pamper their natural tresses and am happy to find that many of the products call for ingredients that you can find in your own kitchen. Egg whites, avocado, honey, peanut butter...the list goes on. I'm trying to find the perfect elixir that not only sounds delicious but also is something that I am willing to put on top of my head without worrying about my husband laughing at me! Have you tried any at-home recipes? What worked and what should you have left in your pantry? For my non-pampering days, I am enjoying Ouidad's hair care line and am using it religiously as I explore my newly natural 'do. Their Moisture Lock leave-in conditioner is my favorite for boosting my curls after getting them wet in the shower each day and their Ultra Nourishing Cleansing Oil  shampoo is an incredibly thick shampoo that I use for my wash day. They also have a Melt-Down Extreme Repair Mask that I am dying to try for my day of pampering this week. Since my hair is very short right now, the easy maintenance is something that I am truly enjoying. I am however starting to get the urge to play with color rinses. I usually change out my hair extensions every 3-4 weeks and with no new weave in sight, I am starting to get the itch for a quick change. What have you used to quickly update your natural hair without damaging it? -Shazmin Big Chop Diva You can also find me on
